Please upgrade to 14.4.2 from already February 2015. See http://sox.sourceforge.net/Main/HomePage for more information. The current package is more than a year old.

I could not build a package from release version 14.4.2 but succeeded from the git Version 14.4.2git+20130122, which has libsox3 instead of libsox2 and other changes. I am not an expert in packaging but maybe it helps.
