Bug Description

Whenever I "Mark All Upgradable Packages" in Camicri Cube Server (After Downloading All The Latest Repostories), and then move to "Download All Marked", the console crashes. The browser "Google Chrome" reports that "Website Not Responding". I have to cancel it out manually through the Task Manager in my Windows 7, after it hangs-up for a long time.

First I thought that my system configuration are not upto mark so I tried in some Laptop with latest configuration, but still after downloading some packages the Console Crashes.

Please Note that I am trying to Upgrade Packages for Ubuntu 14.04 LTS.
It shows some upgrade worth 500 MB (approx.).

Please help.
Is there any other software that needed to be installed on PC for Cube-Server?

I am using : cube-server-portable-0.1.119_Windows

Thank You.

Thank you for sending your problem.

We think that the problem is not on your computer or its system configuration, but on the cube server itself. There is a package in your list of upgradable packages that cube can't handle, maybe because of lots of package dependencies it requires.

For now, you may try to mark some upgradable packages and download them instead of marking and downloading all upgradable packages.

Could you attach your cube project here? Please compress it to .zip to lessen the size. This will help us in our investigation.

Sorry for inconvenience and we will try our best to fix the problem.

Ok.
As you suggest, I will download individual Packages.

But now another problem strikes.

Problem while installing the Cube-Server.

I placed downloaded zip file, extracted file, and "cube-server-iinstaller" file in HOME DIRECTORY of UBUNTU 14.04.

Gave commands in terminal, as written in the Support Pdf.

Buf error occurs saying
" sudo: ./cube-server-installer : command bot found"

Hello again.

For this error:
" sudo: ./cube-server-installer : command not found"

This error will only occur if the sudo app failed to find the cube-server-installer.

Could you check if the cube-server-installer (exact filename) exists? You said also earlier that a file "cube-server-iinstaller" (double 'i' in installer word) has been extracted. I think this mispelled word is the cause of the error. Try to rename the file and do the command again.

I have now successfully Installed cube-server in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS.

I have also downloaded repositories.

Now I am trying to update system.

But Cube-Server is not showing "System" option to update my Linux system.

Sending a pic.

Did you create the project in the same Ubuntu 14.04 LTS computer?

The "System" option will only appear if your project's computer information matches with the computer you are using. You can only update system and install packages to the computer where you created the project.

If you are really sure that you created the project in the same computer, you can do these things:
1) Open Cube and create a new project in that Ubuntu 14.04 computer
2) Close Cube
3) Open HOME/cube-system/projects folder
4) Delete [new project]/data/list and [new project]/data/packages folder
5) Copy [old project]/data/list and [old project]/data/packages folder to [new project]/data folder
6) Open Cube and open the new project

Thanks to Camicri System's Team.
Your solution worked.
Everything works fine now.

Lastly I would like to recommend that you develop the Software much stable, so it doesn't hangs up while downloading large packages and softwares for Linux.
Everything else is fine.

Waiting Eagerly for the next much "STABLE" version of cube server.

However, I would like to comment, as Feedback, based on some certain tests.

As you suggested that, "Instead of Marking the Whole Package", I should download individual package & it's dependencies, because the problem was that, it crashed the console.
Even at some points when I was downloading individual packages and dependencies for VLC
Media Player using cube-server on Windows 7, while downloading some, the console kept crashing. (However mostly Repositories were downloaded successfully irrespective of their size in MB)

But when I tried to download it on some other PC with Ubuntu on it; it downloaded it completely & successfully.

OVERALL - Cube-Server is much stable in Linux. Needs some upgrade for Windows.
