not able to change partition

Bug Description
I have ubuntu and windows 10 dual boot, i tied to increase the /boot space using gparted and it failed. i am not able to reinstall ubuntu ever since.
i tried delete all partitions/create new partition table using gparted live cd - but it is failing with the same erro
fsyncing failed - input/output error
this is the same error i am getting even with ubuntu installer. my system is dell xps 13, i disabled intel smart technology and tried to change to ATA to AHDI
i have a 256 GB SSD hard disk and 8 GMram.
