Adaptive layout doesn't look great on a landscape phone

Bug Description
I'm running uReadit 5.0 with its new adaptive layout on my mako.
When I tilt the phone to landscape mode, it adds a second column. But without enough space to really use that second column. So maybe the adaptive layout should only trigger when there's enough width to support it.
