Bug Description

Binary package hint: evince

I am using Ubuntu Gutsy and evince 2.20.

If a file whose name has spaces or non-ASCII characters (Korean) is on a samba server, recent list displays it's name as "file%20name.pdf" or something like that.

I use ko_KR.UTF-8 locale and the samba server uses ko_KR.EUC_KR.

Thansk for your report. does it happens with every program or just evince? May you see if there's the same in Places -> Recent Documents? thanks.

Thanks for your note. I checked Places -> Recent Documents and it also displays file name as %...

However, there is a difference. Recent list in Places menu automatically omits the last part of file name if it is long, but evince doesn't do that. If a file name is too long, the file menu of evince becomes white and doesn't display anything.
