my HP printer deskjet710-c is recognized but does not print under ubuntu 7.10

Bug Description
my hp 710-c deskjet with a parallel port link was functionnal under ubuntu 7.04; I just upgraded to 7.10; the printer is recognized immediately ans installed.
When I try to send a test page there is no reaction and it doesn't print with any of the alternative software provided;

My printer ( HP deskjet 722C) worked correctly in 7.04
after the update in 7.10 the printer is detected but the jobs become stopped.
in /var/log/user.log I can see :

In models.dat the description for 720C and 722C are present but in lowercase.
