Thanks for the report WindTux. Could you please install ubuntu-ui-toolkit-examples, run the following command, and let us know whether you’re seeing the same kind of font corruption?

    qmlscene /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt5/examples/ubuntu-ui-toolkit/examples/ubuntu-ui-toolkit-gallery/ubuntu-ui-toolkit-gallery.qml

it not present the same kind of font corruption perhaps the render is not the proper (It is equal to that presented google chrome when hardware acceleration was enabled).

the following link is seen as rendering fonts:

I’ve briefly seen the same font corruption issue (as seen in the first screenshot attached) yesterday while running autopilot tests on my laptop (running Wily x86_64).

No idea what the issue is, but it’s not xenial-specific.

@WindTux: are you seeing it happen often? Are there special conditions that trigger the issue more easily?

With the actual version (0.23+16.04.20160129.1-0ubuntu1) there're not problems on the fonts on the andress bar, perhaps the render is not the proper in all web sites visited with web browser.

Also, the web browser has instabilities and crashes very often shortly be visiting websites (no matter what it is)

@WindTux: based on your feedback, I’m going to close this bug as it seems it somehow fixed itself. Would you mind filing a separate bug for the crashes you’re seeing (if possible attach any crash files that you’ll find under /var/crash/). Thanks!
