Bug Description

I'm running xenial daily AMD64 for January 13 with ubiquity 2.21.42
If I'm not already connected to Wi-Fi, the installer will ask me to connect. When I do this happens:
1. I select the network enter password and hit connect.
2. The word connection appears with a spining orange icon.
3. The icon freezes for a couple of seconds.
4. The word connection and the icon disappear and I'm connected to Wi-Fi.

The icon should animate throughout the entire process, and not freeze half-way through.

NOTE: I couldn’t attach /var/log/partman, it didn’t exist by the time I encountered this problem.
