Default bootimage folder doesn't recurse folders, crashes

Bug Description

Binary package hint: qemulator

I have a bunch of VMs in folders:-

/home/alan/vm/centos
/home/alan/vm/ubuntu
/home/alan/vm/windows

and so on.

If I tell qemulator that the default directory is /home/alan/vm, it shows the list of folders in the "default bootimage folder" view, and if I click them qemulator crashes. It seems to want me to have all my qemu images in one folder, which is sub-optimal when I have a lot of them.

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10?
