Bug Description

Hello,

First I still use linux mint 17.2 kde 64bit and no problem.
But i tried a new install of linux mint 17.3 kde 64bit and there is a problem.

Not possible to install playstation 2 emulator "pcsx2". --> http://pcsx2.net/

*******************
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gregory-hainaut/pcsx2.official.ppa
sudo apt-get update
*******************

ok, but when trying to install pcs2x : -->sudo apt-get install pcsx2

**************************
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 pcsx2-unstable:i386 : Depends: libsdl2-2.0-0:i386 (>= 2.0.0) but it is not going to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

Same result with -->sudo apt-get installe pcsx2:i386

Look like it's a problem with libwayland-egl1 witch is not compatible multi-arch....

If you try to install pcsx2 fairly with : sudo aptitude install pcsx2:i386

and answer always yes.

The final result is :

And of course, after a reboot, need to re-install xserver-xor in 386b and video card driver too.

This mean migrate 64b to 32b ???

This is what say the owner of the ppa for pcsx2 --> http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Linux-Mint-17-issue?pid=498676#pid498676

There is a multiarch bug on your distribution. If I'm correct libwayland-egl1 isn't multiarch compatible,

Look like this is a problem only for linux mint.

Hello,

Today i made a new install of Linux MInt 17.3 kde 64bit to try again to install pcsx2 and it's a success !!!! Biggrin

Use simply the "Software Manager" and then schearch for libwayland-egl1-mesa

You will have something like the pic in attachment.

You need the two packages installed (normal 86 and i386(32) ): for exemple in this pic :

libwayland-egl1-mesa
libwayland-egl1-mesa:i386

If for exemple you have only:
libwayland-egl1-mesa-lts-vivid

Then

libwayland-egl1-mesa-lts-vivid:i386

MUST BE INSTALLED.

I did this and no problem to install pcsx2 after
