Accessing any directory with this file in it will kill thumbnails.

Attached: I didn't make it, I found it on a BBS. I believe it crashes tumblerd and corrupts the thumbnail cache. further research required.

you can recover from its effects by clearing ~/.thumbnails killing files and tumblerd and restarting files (provided it won't open to a folder with the file in it).

webm thumbnailing is provided by a later version of tumbler than is provided in Freya, but will be provided in Loki. This is not really a bug in Files. Maybe the Freya version of Files could be made not to pass webm files to the thumbnailer.

Confirmed that thumbnailing stops working in Files as described. Can be restarted by killing tumblerd and switching to a view folder not containing this file. Files automatically restarts tumblerd if necessary. I did not find it necessary to clear the thumbnail directory or restart Files.
