Bug Description

I am using SMTube 15.5.10-1 under Lubuntu 15.10.

SMPlayer: Version: 14.9.0
Using Qt 4.8.6 (compiled with Qt 4.8.6)
Using MPlayer2 2.0-728-g2c378c7-4build1

If I use SMTube and select SMPlayer from the context menu for a video that YouTube (apparently) forbids,
the Error Detected window comes up and says the video cannot be played, and that the server (presumably
YouTube) returned code 403: Forbidden.

If "OK" is selected (the only option), the window goes away, but then comes back....and comes back... and comes back...
It comes back too quickly for me to click on SMPlayer's "X" window button to close SMPlayer,
and I am forced to use htop in a terminal to locate SMPlayer's process and terminate it.

I would expect the window to disappear permanently;
and then either:
1) SMPlayer to remain
2) SMPlayer to disappear (since it was called from another program (SMTube) for a specific purpose that it was unable to perform.

I can't reproduce the problem. Anyway smplayer 14.9.0 is obsolete, you should update it.

If you had sent the smplayer log (options -> view log) I could have checked if that problem is still present in the current version.

The versions listed are the most current in my Lubuntu 15.10 distro.

Perhaps I can get an Ubuntu-style binary at some PPA somewhere...

I will attach a log, but it is a log from just running smplayer alone, and I don't know if it saves stuff from previous sessions.

I cannot do a log from the current problem, asI don't even have time to reach the close-window "X", let alone activate a menuitem.

I'm afraid the log doesn't contain info about the problem.

Is the "repeat" button in the playlist on? That's the only way I can reproduce your problem.

It seems Ubuntu always includes very old versions of SMPlayer. You can get the latest one in this PPA:
https://launchpad.net/~rvm/+archive/ubuntu/smplayer

By the way, it's still possible to play Youtube videos in version 14.9, but you have to "Update the Youtube code" (option in the Help menu).

Oops! Boy is my face red! Yes, I remember that I did turn on "repeat"...

Thank you for clearing this up.

[By the way, has anyone looked at my other bug (for SMTube) that I was investigating when this "bug" popped up?
