Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

Hi, now firefox doesnt start, if i do terminal i get those errors:

tito@tito-desktop:~$ firefox
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

It only happens since today upgrades, yesterday it worked. I'm using AMD 64 Gutsy Gibbon with all updates applied, upgraded from feisty.

Tell me if i can provide you with more info or tests to help you solve the bug.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards.

Ah, i'm using 2 nvidia cards with xinerama and three head setup. But until yesterday it worked perfectly. Composite and aarbglx enabled, but desktop-effects disabled for more stability.

I launched terminal: firefox -safe-mode

I didn't change any option, i clicked "continue in safe mode"

I closed firefox.

From terminal: firefox

Firefox starts normally, with extensions enabled.

I don't know what happens but this is the workaround to make it work. I will post this in launchpad bug mentioned before. I hope it will help to fix it ASAP.

In opera, the problem is flash, different that firefox who gets flash to work without issues. Should be a different bug.

Hi,

please submit the crash report by (double) clicking on it (e.g. using gnome file manager). Otherwise, we won't be able to process it efficiently. The .crash files can be found in the /var/crash directory.

Thanks,
