Actually, the man page is missing the "-auto-tune" option. It's being shown in "powertop --help".

I see that powertop 2.8-1build1 in Ubuntu 16.04 and later has added a paragraph on --auto-tune, see http:// manpages. ubuntu. com/manpages/ xenial/ en/man8/ powertop. 8.html.
Therefore I believe this issue can be closed. (I also found a corresponding bug report in Debian, so I attached a bug watch).
