Duplex not working

Bug Description

I just upgraded to cups:amd64 1.7.2-0ubuntu1.6 1.7.2-0ubuntu1.6

Since then, duplex stopped working. It use to work flawlessly.

My setup:
- Brother HL-3170CDW
- local network.
- ipp protocol

What I tried:
- Factory reset on the printer
- JetDirect, IPP, LDP, etc...
- Default option on duplex
- Changing options on duples.

Nothing worked. Also note: on each of these setups, duplex was working find from a Windows VM.

Also note: I have removed and reinstalled brother drivers. Many error messages come from the fact that installation failed the first few times...

Thank you for submitting this bug and reporting a problem with cups. You made this bug report some time ago and Ubuntu and cups have been updated since then.

Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the ticket?
If it is still a problem, are you still interested in finding a solution to this bug?
If you are, could you let us know and, in the current version, could you run the following (only once):
apport-collect 1526010
and upload the updated logs and and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
