Contrail 2.21 + vSRX2.0 D30 : Performance optimization required with Openstack KVM + contrail

We are aiming for 200Mbps per vSRX2.0 instances scalable upto 20 instances / server (48 vCPUs in the server)

Here is the summary of results for the vSRX2.0 test done :

Image used: vSRX2.0-D30 candiate (20151207)

Contrail: 2.21-14 + few patches for Heat related PRs.

Test : Minimum 1 Million packets of IMIX UDP (349 byte average packet size)

Pass Criteria: < 0.01% packet drop

2 Compute nodes (48 vCPUs each) , 20 vSRX2.0 instances each, 25Mbps/instance , Packet drop = 0.0104%

2 Compute nodes (48 vCPUs each), 20 vSRX2.0 instances each, 50Mbps/instance, Packet drop = 0.91%

1 Compute node (48 vCPUs each), 1 vSRX2.0 instance , 200 Mbps/instance , Packet drop = 0.06%
