Bug Description
Ubuntu Touch is not displaying characters of many Indic scripts including Bengali (except Devnagari). Any app or webpage containing characters from these scripts are shown blank.
A quick examination of /usr/share/fonts showed that the required fonts were missing. After I added fonts myself, rendering was okay. I am proposing the addition of the following packages.
ttf-bengali-fonts
ttf-gujarati-fonts
ttf-kannada-fonts
These packages would allow the rendering of the most popular indic fonts in use.
-------
Other (missing) indic font packages:
ttf-tamil-fonts
ttf-malayalam-fonts
ttf-punjabi-fonts
ttf-telugu-fonts
ttf-oriya-fonts
ttf-indic-fonts contains them all.

Thanks for the report
How much on disk space is used by these three packages?
