I can not reproduce this with mutter(Gnome-Shell) or metacity (Gnome-Flashback) session. However it is reproducable metacity(compiz) session. So I am thinking it has something to do with compiz. Under metacity compiz session clicking on window button doesn't affect its size, but dragging on double clicking on the titlebar does.

Changed in gnome-terminal (Ubuntu):
importance: Undecided → Medium
