Bug Description
Qt4 is not an upgrade to Qt3 but is replacing it. Qt is a major supplier of a UI-library.
Python is a 5th generation language that can be used with PyQt to access Qt4.
Qwt 5 is a technical plot library on top of Qt4.
Its python interface is called pyqwt
