updating ppa:libreoffice/libreoffice-5-0 leads to HttpError404: binary-amd64 and binary-i386

I'm using Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS and the ppa:libreoffice/libreoffice-5-0 , libreoffice 1:5.0.3~rc2-0ubuntu1~trusty2 is installed.

When I do
sudo apt-get update
I get the following errors:

W: Failed to fetch https://launchpad.net/~libreoffice/+archive/libreoffice-5-0/dists/trusty/main/binary-amd64/Packages HttpError404

W: Failed to fetch https://launchpad.net/~libreoffice/+archive/libreoffice-5-0/dists/trusty/main/binary-i386/Packages HttpError404

E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

I expect not to get 404 errors while updating the package information.

I'm setting this bug to Incomplete as it's not seen any activity since the official release of Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. If this is still an issue on a maintained version of Ubuntu please let us know.
