Bug Description

* the package is available on all archs:
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-logs/3.18.1-1

* rationale:
it's the new GNOME log viewer, integrated with the systemd journal and replacing the deprecated gnome-system-log

* No security issue reported

* The package is part of GNOME, using standard components already in main, synced directly from Debian, maintained by pkg-gnome in Debian and desktop-bugs is subscribed to the launchpad reports

I don't know. I was doing some other MIRs at the time and might have looked at the wrong page as well. Anyway, I agree they are subscribed now. :)

right, we decided to not include it in Ubuntu Desktop for xenial since it's pretty limited and we preferred to keep gnome-system-log instead for this cycle, since nothing is pulling it to main there is no reason to promote it yet

This was discussed again recently and the Ubuntu Desktop has decided to ship gnome-logs and stop shipping gnome-system-log by default.
