Some observations: no-fortify- functions.
- [Maintenance] The Debian packaging could certainly use some cleaning up / modernizing.
- [Maintenance] It would be nice to see the patches being tagged, at least with a description.
- [Maintenance] There are a few bugs open in Debian BTS, some with patches that could easily be applied (such as debian #711703)
- [Security] Many binaries trigger a lintian warning: hardening-
