Bug Description

When I run ccsm to configure Compiz on Gutsy, it runs fine and displays the configuration options correctly. However, certain actions do not work at all or do not work as expected.

Firstly, setting values using the keyboard does not register them with the configuration tool. For example, if an opacity value is set to 20 and I delete the 20 and key in a 40, the new setting never takes effect and the configuration tool reflects a value of 20 when restarted.

Second, setting new shortcut keys for compiz actions seems to be broken. I can set key combonations such as ctrl+alt+super+x, for example, but I can't use alt+tab, shift+tab, or any such combinations. These combinations are already used by certain compiz programs, so I see the fact that they cannot be set customized using the configuration tool as a bug.

Third, the compiz userspace filesystem plugin will not initialize. There is no error message; the configuration tool just refuses to enable it.

If these are all separate bugs, I can file them independently and mark this one a duplicate of them. I'm definitely willing to submit configuration files and such if somebody tells me where to find them. Thanks for your hard work, Compiz guys... I can't wait to see this system really get polished and usable.
