Hi j3lc,

This was one of rare regressions we were aware of, but decided to go forward with the update, as we didn't want to hold it back. Especially, that it was much more reliable than the previous version. Thanks for the report.

Hello Ash,

Please help us to look into this issue if it is related to TelegramQML,
if yes, we can postpone this implementation after Telegram QML version 2 landed,
otherwise, to check the behavior and do related test on secret chats is needed by referring Android phone.

Hi Jin,
After referring to iOS and Android versions of Telegram I would like to clarify on where the Self-destruct function should be on Ubuntu.
On iOS it is placed in the UITextField (small timer icon) and on Android it is placed in the vertical (...).
Placing it on the TextField would make the length smaller whilst there is no ellipse option menu on Ubuntu.
I would thought it would be placed under "Block user" in the 'Contact Info' in a secret chat.
Whats your opinion on this? Thanks

Hey Ash,

This is a good suggestion,
we prefer the Android's design.

Android puts the option "Self-Destruct Timer":
    1. in the secret chat page title
    2. under "Notifications and Sounds"
so what you mentioned make sense to me.

We can place the option there and do it a test,
to see if any side effects the secret chat has.

Since this feature is confirmed as a wishlist now does not be supported on the libs,
change it to wishlist to our product backlog for tracking.
