Have to open control center to detect external monitor

When I plug in an external monitor nothing happens. I would assume that the monitor would be set the to configuration that I used last time.

However, when I open the control center the monitor gets configured fine. Its really annoying though to have to open the control center every time.

Thank you for your bug report. What video card and driver do you use? What connectivity are you using, hdmi cable?

I am using display port (through a docking station). Video driver is intel.
