wine fails to install vroot

PRECONDITIONS: (wine, vroot.exe file)

Description: Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS
Release: 14.04

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. <open vroot.exe >
2. <configure for wine in any operating system>

ACTUAL OUTCOME:
<wine dissapear without any error>

EXPECTED OUTCOME:
<It should start with an installation of vroot>

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

Installing iRoot_1.8.8.20465_cid1005_7337ba1e.exe from vrootdownload.info/download/ works here.

$ wine --version
wine-4.7 (Debian 4.7-1)

If it still fails for you, please try to install it from a terminal with:

wine iRoot_1.8.8.20465_cid1005_7337ba1e.exe

and post the output to this bug (and reopen it).

In your case there was probably some error and wine quit, but you didn't notice that because you started it graphically.
