Bug Description

ubuntu@cvm4:~$ sudo apt-get install python-cffi

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 python-cffi : Depends: python-cffi-backend (< 1.1.2-1ubuntu2~cloud0+c) but it is not installable
Depends: python-cffi-backend (>= 1.1.2-1ubuntu2~cloud0) but it is not installable
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

My guess is that this is due to LP: #1513958 which was just recently fixed via a trusty SRU. If that is the case, then hopefully another build attempt should succeed.

This is odd as python-cffi is built OK in the proposed PPA which we use for binaries copies to updates.

Changed in cloud-archive:
status: New → Invalid

I'll put through a no-change rebuild to resolve this problem

Please can you check this is OK in liberty-proposed:

   sudo add-apt-repository cloud-archive:liberty-proposed

Thanks!

I've uploaded ~cloud1's for cffi and cryptography (both ftbfs in liberty-updates).

I'll push them through to proposed/updates later in the week (out for the next couple of days).
