Reporting a bug using ubuntu-bug while the default browser is Google Chrome yields an empty browser window

Bug Description
When you try to report a bug using ubuntu-bug, it collects the information as usual, but when you press send it opens Google Chrome as an empty, default window.
How to reproduce:
1. Install google chrome from https:/
2. Open it by running google-
3. When asked, set it as the default browser
4. Run ubuntu-bug, let it collect information and press send
Expected results: Launchpad with a prepared bug report will be opened
Actual results: An empty browser window will be opened
