Bug Description
The Ubuntu Error Tracker has been receiving reports about a problem regarding unity8. This problem was most recently seen with version 8.11+16.

Note thread #4 is in QXcbEventReader which is relatively suspicious of this being a fake unity8 inside X11 or someone starting up unity8 with QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb
