color swatches don't wrap (MacOS)

When I select "wrap" from the color swatches menu the colors don't wrap. Instead, each color swatch is increased in height and there's still a horizontal scroll bar (see screen shot). Only after closing and restarting Inkscape, the color swatches are drawn as multiple rows.

running Inkscape 0.91 on MacOS 10.9.5

It seems that you chose a palette with so few colors (from the screenshot, I'd say it's the 'Tango' palette distributed with Inkscape) that there is nothing to wrap (wrapping happens for palettes which otherwise have a horizontal scrollbar if all swatches are displayed in a single line). Please try with the default Inkscape palette.

Yes, it's the tango palette and you're right, it has not enough colors. After a restart these colors still wrap though but it's not a big deal that this doesn't happen immediately. The horizontal scrollbar isn't there so the usability is the same.

However, I remember that this happened with other palettes as well and 've managed to get this effect with Inkscape's default palette (see screenshot). Not on the first try though. I clicked around several times (turning wrap on and off, changing the swatch width). But pretty quickly I ended up with the attached screenshot where selecting "wrap" for the default palette only increases the height of the palette but the colors don't wrap. Settings are medium height, medium width, no border and "wrap".

I can confirm I'm seeing the same behavior on Mac OS Sierra/Inkscape 0.91. The palette swatches get taller when "wrap" is checked, but they remain in a single row and don't wrap. Tried on numerous palettes, some quite large. The problem is consistent.
