Bug Description

Binary package hint: kde-hal-device-manager

kde-hal-device-manager FTBFS in Gutsy (buildlog: http://people.debian.org/~lucas/logs/2007/08/28/kde-hal-device-manager_0.3-0ubuntu2_gutsy32.buildlog)

It appears there's a build-dependency on python-qt3 missing.

I've added this and uploaded it to my PPA, where it has been built correctly.

I'll provide a debdiff to fix this.

At least kde-hal-device-manager is in Gutsy, so the failure may be specific to the build system used by Lucas..

Daniel: that's not necessary - it build-depends on python-kde3 already, which is sufficient.

daniel@bert:~$ apt-cache show python-kde3 | grep -E "(Package|Depends)"
Package: python-kde3
Depends: kdelibs4c2a (>= 4:3.5.7-1), libc6 (>= 2.6-1), libgcc1 (>= 1:4.2.1), libqt3-mt (>= 3:3.3.8really3.3.7), libstdc++6 (>= 4.2.1), libx11-6, libxext6, python-central (>= 0.5.8), python (<< 2.6), python (>= 2.4), python-qt3 (>= 3.16-1.1), konsole

I'd reject this bug - it does not apply to Gutsy it seems.

Yes, according to the buildlog, python-qt3 has been installed.

In the build test, python-qt3 3.17.3-2ubuntu2 has been used and the changelog entry after that shows that it seems to have been fixed:
python-qt3 (3.17.3-2ubuntu3) gutsy; urgency=low

  * Move pyqtconfig.py to python-qt3, it is needed for mountconfig from kde-guidance

Changed in kde-hal-device-manager:
