kubuntu 15.10 - upgrade from 15.04

After a clear boot, the widget in the main plasma panel (at the bottom of the desktop) do not work. Eg. the 'application launcher' does not show the application menu when clicked. The 'show hidden icons' icon in the system tray does not show list of hidden apps.
If I logout of plasma, and login again (i.e. not reboot) then everything is ok.
I have noticed there a delay in the KDE splash screen, from a clean boot, compared to 15.04. This happens as the progress bar is 90% of the way along. I did think that this might be related to the plasma-nm bluez bug #1509334 but I have 4:5.4.2-0ubuntu1.1 installed
This is reproducible.
PS. I'm sorry I'm not sure what the package is causing the problem. I'm afraid I do not find the 'FindRightPackage' web page that helpful when it comes to problems with the plasma desktop.

As of 19/11/2015 this seems to have been fixed by recent updates.
