Installer stuck in zlib1g on server amd64 with LVM crypt

Bug Description

Binary package hint: debian-installer

While installing server amd64 RC iso dated 20071010 in a VMware
- selected crypted LVM
--> base install is stuck while validating install of zlib1g

note that same procedure works fine on i386

I cannot reproduce this. I used the exact same environment as you (20071010 amd64 RC iso, amd64, vmware) and the install went fine. Can you reproduce this? If so, can you please look in Alt+F4 to see whether there is a meaningful error message? You can also do "anna-install openssh-client-udeb" on virtual terminal 2 to get scp and copy /var/log/syslog to your host computer and then attach it to this bug.

I reproduced it twice before sending my bug and just finished trying a 3rd time after rebooting the host system --> It now works as designed, except for a cosmetic issue (see bug #151532)... Now blaming vmware ;) Sorry.
