incorrect screen size when installing from unetbootin

Bug Description
I tried to install freya from usb using unetbootin using TVs as output screen.
On both screen I tested when I choose a straight "Install elementary" then the UI is 4x (8x?) larger than the actual display
(a bit like https:/
so I'm stuck at the very first step (choose language) coz I can't see the "French" option.
When I choose "run without installing" then the desktop displays "fine"
(looks like it's running in 1920*1080 even if there are 20 pixels missing around the border ) and I can launch the install process.
(which fails but I will report that as another bug)
