Kubuntu 7.10-RC: Kdesktop: unable to create io-slave

Bug Description

After installation of Kubuntu 20071009.1 in expert mode, KDesktop spits an error message on the first login:
"Could not start process Unable to create io-slave:
klauncher said:."

Tested in Virtualbox.
