Bug Description

I tried to record part of my GNOME desktop on a Retina display using the select area tool in kazam. The selection overlay seemed to take the hidpi window scaling into account, reporting size coordinates that were half the physical resolution. But after making a recording I discovered that the video had recorded the wrong part of the screen, at half the desired size. It looks as if the scaled down coordinates used in the selection tool didn't get scaled back up.

Exactly same problem here. HiDPI screens are now extremely common screens. Many Dell, HP or Lenovo have now HiDPI screens. Kazam is simply impossible to use at the moment.

Same here. System76 also serves HiDPI laptops.

This bug makes Kazam useless for me. It's been 3 years, this should be prioritized.
