Bug Description

Please backport augeas 1.2.0-0ubuntu1.1 (main) from trusty-updates to precise.

Reason for the backport:
========================
I am acting on behalf of the Let's Encrypt team.
Let's Encrypt, a project to provide free SSL certificates, uses Augeas to manipulate configuration files.
We would love to support Ubuntu 12.04, but cannot, since Augeas is out of date on 12.04.
This backport would allow users of Ubuntu 12.04 to use Let's Encrypt.
We would be grateful for expediency in this backport, since we have a very small amount of time before general availability of Let's Encrypt.

Testing:
========
Mark off items in the checklist [X] as you test them, but please leave the checklist so that backporters can quickly evaluate the state of testing.

You can test-build the backport in your PPA with backportpackage:
$ backportpackage -u ppa:<lp username>/<ppa name> -s trusty -d precise augeas

* precise:
[X] Package builds without modification
[X] libaugeas0 installs cleanly and runs
[X] augeas-lenses installs cleanly and runs
[X] augeas-tools installs cleanly and runs
[X] libaugeas-dev installs cleanly and runs
[X] augeas-doc installs cleanly and runs
[X] augeas-dbg installs cleanly and runs

Reverse dependencies:
=====================
The following reverse-dependencies need to be tested against the new version of augeas. For reverse-build-dependencies (-Indep), please test that the package still builds against the new augeas. For reverse-dependencies, please test that the version of the package currently in the release still works with the new augeas installed. Reverse- Recommends, Suggests, and Enhances don't need to be tested, and are listed for completeness-sake.

What exactly is the estimated schedule for landing this in Ubuntu? We are releasing Let's Encrypt for general availability around November 16th, we'd like to be able to tell people that we support Ubuntu 12.04 without a PPA at that time.
