Bug Description
With the latest kernel (3.13.0-65) mplayer will not react on keyboard input (e.g., pause [space], volume ctrl [+]/[-]). The std output shows, however, a line that has not been shown formerly:
"Dead key input on file descriptor 0"
With older kernel (e.g., version 3.13.0-45-generic) mplayer works as expected (on the same system).
How to reproduce the bug:
1. start mp3 playback by executing
mplayer foo.mp3
2. pause playback by pressing [space]
EXPECTED:
playback gets paused
ACTUALLY:
nothing happens
I do not know exactly which kernel version introduced that modified behaviour, but it has to be between the aforementioned two versions.
Further information:
Description: Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS
Release: 14.04

János
