amarok-xine causing songs to be played intermittently

Binary package hint: amarok-xine

I dont why this is happening, I didnt make any changes apart from installing latest updates, but amarok-xine is making my songs come up like..."he...is..dead..amarok..killed..him" the songs plays intermittently. I tried playing in totem which had xine plugin but had the same issue. xine player plays it broken. I switched to totem-gstreamer and totem started playing fine. Mplayer plays the song fine too.
I renamed .kde/share/apps/amarok and share/config/amrokrc but still same issue.

i run ubuntu feisty, amarok 1.4.7, xine 0.99.5cvs

I got similar problems in Ubuntu Gutsy RC, with amarok-1.4.7-0ubuntu3, amarok-xine-1.4.7-0ubuntu3 and libxine1-1.1.7-1ubuntu1... Tested with Kaffeine too, same problem. Songs pops in small frequency, but it's annoying. MPlayer plays fine...

Same identical issue on Kubuntu 8.04 Hardy (intermittent playing, bug not reproducible)
$ dpkg -l|grep amarok
ii amarok 2:1.4.9.1-0ubuntu3
ii amarok-xine 2:1.4.9.1-0ubuntu3

$ uname -r
2.6.24-19-generic

Resolved on Gutsy, back on Hardy?
