Bug Description
Please add loop timer. It would be really useful for:
- For repetitive tasks (For example in work I'm using it to get up after 60min sitting)
- For Sport routine (currently I need to use timer from internet).
Also I want to thank you for really great app :) I'm using it daily and it helps me a lot!

Hi, thanks for your bug report and kind words about the app. I'm sorry I reply so late but I was busy enjoying Ubucon in Berlin :)
About your request: I would like to keep the Timer app as simple as it is now. I could try to make a separate app which will do all that stuff you wish. I even thought about it some time ago.
Unfortunately there are some problems with that kind of apps on Ubuntu phone. In order for it to work an app need to be in foreground and the phone must be unlocked and screen active. When you put the screen off, an app "goes to sleep".
In Timer I avoided this problem by using Alarm API. You probably noticed that every time you start a timer, a new alarm in the Clock app is created. It is deleted later if you press "Okay" button when timer is finished. If you don't press that button but just close Timer app, the alarm stays in the Clock app.
Now if I wanted to use the same mechanism for the loop timer, a lot of alarms would need to be created. In some cases it might be a problem for users.
BTW, there's the app in the store you can try: https:/ /uappexplorer. com/app/ elvelangstabata .gard
