Bug Description

Binary package hint: abiword

I'm using Xubuntu Gutsy beta. AbiWord has never been run so far, so this might have occured because of its first use. I found a Microsoft Word document online, and downloaded it through Firefox to 'open' immediately, not 'save to disk'. As AbiWord was loading, this error was generated.

I downloaded the file again. This time, AbiWord loaded properly. I believe the error only occured because it was the first time AbiWord was used. Just in case, I am including the Word document when the crash occured.

It looks like this bug will be "Fix Released" only when 2.6 is uploaded to Ubuntu: http://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/abiword/+bug/202174
