Bug Description

Package python3-pyqt5 depend on "libqt5gui5 (>= 5.4.0) or libqt5gui5-gles (>= 5.4.0)" and "libqt5gui5 (>= 5.2.0)" at the same time, therefore replace libqt5gui5 package with libqt5gui5-gles package is impossible - python3-pyqt5 always depend on libqt5gui5 (>= 5.2.0).

Timo: I know nothing about the alternate -gles depends as these were added by you, do you know where the issue here may be? PyQt5 uses the standard ${shlibs:Depends}, nothing else.

This may be indicative of some omission in the qtbase symbols files that only pyqt5 exposes, fixating a libqt5gui5 5.2.0 requirement instead of allowing either.

The -gles libraries are aimed to be used only within the SDK Emulator and not for general purpose. Eventually they will be dropped if upstream gets runtime switching implemented.

There are no more -gles packages in 17.10 and 18.04, so closing this bug.
