Bug Description

Step to reproduce:

1. Install java 1.8 from oracle.com
2. Install eclipse version mars from eclipse.org
3. start it with a fresh workspace
4. you can see some artifacts and end up with 4 gala processes eating almost 10% of memory (max memory is 16GB)
5. The CPU load gets up to 100% percent and more after some time
6. Kill gala or restart fixes it
7. kill all eclipse/java process makes gala useable again but leaves screen artifacts in some cases it stays unresponsive

Same scenario, but whole system crashes in my computer. It loads into the Plank, but it disappears from it, and when loaded, same thing happens. Using Gnome or Unity doesn't crash the computer but Plank error still happens.

The whole system crashes during splash screen with Java 1.8 from Oracle + Eclipse Oxygen + Loki. Starting Eclipse with "sudo ./eclipse" works fine.
