does not update with software center that crashes when opening

Bug Description

can update and upgrade through the terminal but not with the software center which crashes as soon as open.
This is probably due to shutting down the computer while downloading through the software center.

When I enter:apt-cache policy pkgname, it says: unable to locate package name

None of the attached files mention software-center at all.

At a terminal, please enter "software-center" (without quotes), wait for it to crash, then copy and paste all the terminal output into this bug report. Thanks.

That's what I get now:

Your new issue still does not seem to be caused by software-center, especially since it isn't even installed.
