Bug Description

After last Gutsy update, my laptop became unusable with both kernels 2.6.22-12 and 13. It doesn't boot anymore, not even in the single mode. I have checked and it goes into an infinite error loop on device-mapper, and never stops.
I don't know how to gain access to the laptop, so it has became unusable. Is there a way to put hands on?

I think they're going to need more information about your laptop: Brand, Type, processor etc.

IBM Thinkpad X31. It was perfectly working last week with Gutsy. Today I made a dist-upgrade..

After changing /etc/evms.conf (exclude = [ * ] in sections 'activate' and 'sysfs_devices') 2.6.22-13 booted now without problems
