Upgrade from 14.04 LTS to 15.04

Bug Description

When I start the upgrading to version 15.04, tell me as impossible because an upgrade from 'trusty' to 'vivid' is not supported with this tool.

Francesco, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. The supported way of upgrading may be found at http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop/upgrade . Could you please advise how precisely you are upgrading in a keyboard click-for-click fashion?

A screenshot of the error message you are encountering would be helpful.

Found this while googling for the same issue. Will continue researching and update here if I find anything.

Here is the output I get:

attached log from an upgrade that looks like it might have worked. I aborted it though.

what changed in between? to the best of my recollection, one suspend, and an apt-get upgrade, there was a new kernel in there I think and I have not rebooted yet.

Aaron, doing an upgrade as you attempted is not supported. You would need to follow the instructions as previously advised in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1502800/comments/3 .
