Bug Description
I have a graphics card AMD ATI Radeon HD 6310 and once I installed UM 15.10 beta 2 this one was detected tough it was running decently fair with the amd/ati display driver wrapper from xserver-xorg (Gallium 4.0 driver) as it was recommended I have always used the proprietary driver as I did using UMATE 15.04 in this same laptop. Well fglrx drive. fglrx -core driver and amdccle Catalyst Control Center were and actually are installed.. though they are now working and I continue using the amd/ati display driver wrapper from xserver-xorg (Gallium 4.0 driver) as I tested it while playing Second Life game online. One thing I noticed about UMate 15.10 beta 2 was that it was upgrade into linux kernel 4.2.0.12 . I suspect that the old linux AMD/ATi 15.201 ( or AMD 15.9 driver) does not work with this kernel, I have other OSes installed with downgraded kernels using the same AMD/ATi 15.201 driver and they are working very good in my same laptop.
I tried reinstalling this proprietary driver 4 times as Ubuntu MATE regular way of installing using Control Center >Addtitional drivers> picking propietary drivers AMD Graphics accelerators from fglrx (Propietary)... the result was always the same, they were installed but I continue using the open source tested driver (Gallium 4.0 )

This sounds like a driver issue, not something specific to Ubuntu MATE 15.10. Seeing that they have been including patches for these later kernels in that release, probably will take a little time to get everything working properly. Did you also try downloading and installing directly from the Catalyst website (by kicking off a .run script), also another version of Ubuntu 15.10?
