Bug Description
In a test MaaS setup I ended up allowing the MaaS controller nodes IP address to be part of the static range. As a sanity check, would it be possible to have MaaS throw up a warning if you do this?
I ended up with a VM trying to tftp from itself, which didn't work terribly well. I know this is a local misconfiguration, but a warning that you were trying to do something dumb would be nice. It doesn't seem like something that could ever be valid. I was testing with MaaS 1.8 from the stable PPA on Trusty updated to the latest at time of testing.
$ dpkg-query -W maas
maas 1.8.2+bzr4041-
$ lsb_release -d
Description: Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS
Please let me know if you need any further information.
Thanks,
Brad
