[gutsy] kdebase-dev has strange build-deps

I just installed build-deps for compiz, then I saw it was installing kate, konqueror and lots of other kde-related stuff I don't need on my system, that is going to clutter my menus.

Culprit is kdebase-dev, that depends on a lot of non-dev packages.

I think you are referring to kdebase-dev, not kdeutils-dev.
Indeed kdebase-dev is a build-dep of compiz and its dependancies are kate, konqueror, etc.
