Bug Description

When navigating to the URL: http://oilandgasuk.co.uk/about-us.cfm

I receive a certificate is not trusted message. This occurs on the phone, but does not occur on the desktop in the same browser, or with any other browser. I also tried switching to WiFi, and still got the error. Not sure what is occurring.

Additionally, the home page of the site appears to load without any stylesheets.

I've just partially solved the mystery. The certificate is invalid when navigating through HTTPS.

Is it just that the browser defaults to HTTPS while other browsers don't? And, maybe my desktop has an older/newer version which doesn't default to HTTPS?

The certificate presented when navigating to the https version doesn’t match the identity of the website. That’s a server error.

I’m not getting redirected to the https:// URL automatically here, if I browse to the http:// one. Neither on phone nor on desktop. Can you confirm that when browsing to the http:// URL (by e.g. opening this bug in the browser and clicking on the link in the description) you get redirected to the secure one?

No, but the page appears to load without any stylesheets or something. And, when this happens, the links in the menu all seem to be https://, whereas in any other browser the site loads normally and the links are all http://.

I'm running the latest stable OTA on mako.

Not seeing that here, although I’m testing on krillin running the latest rc-proposed.

Does it make any difference if you browse to that site when connected on wifi VS mobile data connection?

Does clearing the cache (from the settings menu) help?
